Ylis & Till .. a year later

The Summer of 2014 was the first time I met these wonderful kids ; lovely smiles, fantastic eyes and super easy to work with.

Their mom decided to repeat this kind of shoot every year, so the kids will have fond memories and images to look back at once they become teens. 

Grown up just a little bit, I decided to take it to the next level and let them pose in front of some awesome street art on a building near my home.

The re-opened park also has a cute space called De Living, so when the kids were fed up we could take it inside, have a drink and still shoot some extra pictures.

I'm also filming in between shoots to take it to a higher level ; the small movies are for me to work on, and when it works out fine and am satisfied with the results, I'll give the movie as an extra to the kids' parents.

Perfect moment to end the day in beauty ; stunning light, almost golden hour and a salty breeze through blonde sun kissed hair.

Sometimes, it just better to show off objects on a real model ; that's why we decided to add some extra images to the pack shots of Mimz accessories this weekend.

Lynn & Kenneth

Lynn & Kenneth have known each other for 4 years but really started dating 2,5 years ago. Though might seem a tough guy, he actually got down on 1 knee to propose and pop the question to Lynn, surrounded by their family.

We just love a good love story !!

Karen owns a cute store where she sells gifts and treats for baby showers.

She wanted to do a shoot with her 2 godchildren, Erin and Mia.

Last Friday, she took the kids along, dressed them up real nicely {lots of color} and picked a lovely setting in our neighbourhood. 

The pictures turned out to be happy and sweet. 

Meanwhile, almost 40 pictures dropped in her mailbox and judging from her reaction, she 

loved them.

Last night, we went for an underground adventure .. 

yesterday's journey ; being a fan of photographer Nicolas Springael, I've tried to capture a similar image honoring his work. I bought a picture from his collection the other day and got immediately inspired how he made this particular image at the Gare Bruxelles Central. 

Nicolas probably waited for the right time of day, light and etc .. I had a limited amount of time, capturing this photo. I still need to work on it a bit more I guess, getting more details into the foreground. But somehow I also like it this way ; the black spot makes this very surreal, almost an unidentified object, in this urban environment.
